Because Site Orbit Studio offers highly customized software development and digital strategy services, our refund and cancellation policies reflect the tailored nature of our work.
For custom web development, web applications, and SaaS solutions, an initial deposit is usually required before work commences. This deposit covers the initial discovery, architecture, UI/UX conceptualizing, and initial development phases.
Projects are often billed in milestones (e.g., Design Approval, Alpha Release, Beta Release, Final Delivery). Once a client formally approves a milestone and the corresponding payment is made, that payment is non-refundable, as the work for that phase has been completed and accepted.
If a client opts to cancel a project mid-development, written notice must be provided. Upon cancellation, Site Orbit Studio will evaluate the work completed up to that date against the payments received. If the value of the completed work exceeds payments made, an invoice for the remainder will be issued. If payments exceed the value of the work completed, a prorated refund will be issued.
Services such as SEO optimization, ongoing maintenance, and retainer-based work are billed monthly in advance. Payments made for the current month's retainer are non-refundable. Clients may cancel ongoing services with a written 30-day notice.
If a client fails to communicate, respond to inquiries, or provide essential project assets for a period exceeding 30 days without prior notice, the project will be considered abandoned. Site Orbit Studio reserves the right to terminate the agreement without a refund for work already completed. Re-initiating the project may require a restart fee.
If the final delivered product significantly deviates from the mutually agreed-upon scope of work, we will perform reasonable revisions to correct the discrepancies at no additional cost. Discrepancies do not form the basis for a refund but rather a commitment to resolve the issue as per the contract.
Any exceptions to this policy will be explicitly detailed in the individual project contract signed by both the client and Site Orbit Studio.
